Christy Schneider

Christy Schneider works as an Exhibit Researcher for Elemental Matters: Artists Imagine Chemistry, opening in 2011 at Chemical Heritage Foundation, Philadelphia. Schneider has interpreted science, art, and history as Director of Education at Bartram’s Garden. She managed and developed programs in urban history at the Philadelphia History Museum, Atwater Kent.

Work outside UARTS:
Schneider’s poetry explores visual culture and historical narratives, including Darwin’s study of worm castings, Frida Kahlo’s braids, and Darth Vader’s mask.
Schneider has served as co-chair of the Education Committee, Museum Council of Philadelphia & the Delaware Valley, and on the board of Spiral Q Puppet Theater.
