Museum Studies at the University of the Arts offers three distinctive graduate programs that put contemporary museum theory and practice into the hands of our students: Museum Communication (MA), Museum Education (MA), Museum Exhibition Planning & Design (MFA).

Our programs are for professionally-minded, innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers who seek careers in or related to the visitor-centered, object-based, participatory museums and cultural institutions.

Graduates work in small, medium, and large museums of art, history, archaeology, anthropology, and the natural and physical sciences; in culturally-specific, children’s, living-collection, and specialized museums, as well as in arts, cultural, and educational organizations, and private firms.
